What is Wallet?
- Wallet is a feature that simplifies the checkout process in store by using a single barcode to apply Cartwheel and a REDcard payment. It also allows access to coupons that can be applied with a separate scan.
What can I add to Wallet?
- You can save your Target REDcard™ (Target Debit Card, Target Credit Card, Target™ Mastercard®) to Wallet. Wallet automatically includes your Cartwheel barcode. Wallet can also be used to access coupons that can be applied with a separate scan. Wallet doesn’t accept third-party payment cards.
Can I use Cartwheel without adding a REDcard to Wallet?
- Yes. You don’t need to add a REDcard to Wallet. Once you create a Target.com account, or sign into your existing account, select "show my wallet" to skip REDcard entry and begin browsing Cartwheel offers.
Will I have to enter my REDcard PIN each time I use Wallet?
- You’ll need to enter your REDcard PIN one time when you add a REDcard to Wallet. You won’t need to enter your PIN for every transaction.
Does Wallet have security features?
- Yes. Wallet requires your Target.com username and password to sign in, and you must enter your REDcard PIN upon adding a card to Wallet. Plus, a unique barcode is generated each time you access Wallet, and it expires after several minutes so you can’t screenshot or print your barcode. You can refresh your screen to generate a new barcode. You can also use your mobile device settings to enable Touch ID or require a phone PIN to be entered.
Can I save my Wallet barcode?
- No. For added security, the Wallet barcode expires after several minutes so you can’t screenshot or print your barcode. You can refresh your screen to generate a new barcode.
Can I use Wallet online?
- Your saved payment methods can be used to place orders on Target.com. However, Cartwheel offers and in-store coupons are not redeemable on Target.com.
Can I use Wallet at other retailers?
- No. Wallet can only be used in Target stores.
Can I add a Merchandise Return Card to Wallet?

Can I remove a card from Wallet?
- Yes. Select payment from the Wallet screen. Select edit, then remove card.
What happens if I get a new phone?
- Your card information is connected to your Target.com account. Download the Target App on your new phone and sign into your account to access anything previously saved to Wallet.
